My choice for “Best Merchant Account Ever” isn’t any single merchant account provider but rather a Broker who can negotiate the best deals with multiple merchant account service providers.
If you accept credit cards then take my advice and line up more than one merchant account… having a backup during emergencies is very, very important.
If you only have one Merchant Account and that provider decides to stop processing your orders for you… guess what, you are literally out of business… You can’t process new credit card oders, you can’t process any existing recurring billings… you are literally “out of business” until you find a replacement.
And the absolute worst time to get a new Merchant Account is after you were already shut down by another credit card processing provider so don’t wait until it’s too late, line up a new way to accept credits cards today so you’ll have your backup ready to go when you need it the most.
Do yourself a favor and diversify your risk by using a Broker to negotiate the best fees for you at multiple Merchant Account service providers.
The one I use and recommend is Platinum Payment Systems
Save money on your credit card processing fees…
Schedule a free no-obligation call with Platinum Payment Systems today.
Just fill out this short three sentence form to get started today:
Free Merchant Account Consultation and Evaluation
And if you need referral just tell Ryan that “Jeff Johnson sent me” and he’ll be glad to help you out.
Consumer Notice: I personally process credit cards with Platinum Payment Systems providers, I do have an affiliate relationship with them, I may get paid a commission if you use their services, and I’m been extremely happy with Ryan and the two Merchant Accounts Ryan has been able to hook me up with at an even lower credit card processing fee than I was paying before.

Hello John,
I always love every post you have. You nailed it with respect to the issues with Visa & MC around trial offers which absolutely hit the industry.
For certain, I am going to check powerpay out.
Thanks,
Louie

Hi Jeff, do you have any idea when this list will be updated? I want to get some alternatives in place incase I ever have the dreaded paypal problem. I’ve been lucky so far that they have never limited my account but I’d hate to wake up one fine day and find that they cut off my online income!

Just updated it, thanks for the reminder. I’ve been using these guy for months now and my friends and I have had great luck with them.

Hi. PDF files will NOT open. I have Windows 7 – PDF format indicates slides are in PDF Complete format – whatever that is. I can’t open the file – any chance someone could change slide format to plain ole PDF format.
Thanks

Please try downloading it first to your desktop and also try updating your version of acrobat to the most recent.

Hi Jeff
That’s some really useful information, what a lot of new people don’t realise is how complex it is getting your new products actually ready to market
Thanks for sharing Tony
